About this Diario
Movement. Mindset. A long, active, and useful life.
Welcome to the FormaFit Journal, where we show up real, stretch often, and move with purpose.
Stay Active Means:
Daily movement, not perfection. Stretching, walking, dancing, resting. Staying in motion, even when it’s slow. Being connected to your body and what it needs. Movement is medicine. Movement is freedom. This is how we live fully, every day.
Stay Sharp Means:
Mental clarity. Self-checks. Movement with awareness. Presence is power. Discipline is care. Thought is action. Awareness is key. Inspired by thinkers, movers, and the freedom to grow.
Stay Ready Means:
Prepared, not pressured. Gear in the bag. Sunscreen in the car. Backup plans, backup snacks. One less excuse. One more reason to move. Being ready is how we protect the spark. So when the moment comes, We Go!
Journal Entry: Keep Going Means Keep Moving
I don’t just train in the gym, I train for the job, for the pivot, for the pressure. As a self-employed working coach, movement keeps me sharp, ready, and grounded. I mark an X on the calendar every time I move, because every stretch, every step, every pause counts. For me, keep going means keep moving, not to look a certain way, but to live a certain way. I’m not just still moving. I’m still building.
Getting back up is your loudest flex
Falling isn’t failure. Resilience is the real strength and getting back up after every setback is your loudest flex.
Hollywood Forever Cemetery. A place where memory, legacy, and stillness meet.
Walking through Hollywood Forever Cemetery feels like more than a visit, it’s a meditation. Among palm-lined paths, music legends, and quiet bridges, stillness becomes something different: not emptiness, but focus. A reminder that even in pause, life is preparing us for what comes next.
Prepared = Powerful: How I Train for Quakes Like I Train for Life
I don’t tell my earthquake story, but I never forgot the lesson: stay ready. In this post, I share what’s in my real Go Bag, how to start your own, and why the 7 Steps to Earthquake Safety isn’t just a checklist, it’s a mindset.
3 Ice Creams and a Promise: Why I Carry Cash in L.A.
From fruit vendors to beach life and the unexpected sweetness of street life, this story captures one summer day at the beach and the lesson that stuck: always carry cash. Join us as we explore three ice creams, local culture, and the small promises that keep Los Angeles moving.
Motion to Mexico: Ensenada Adventures
A day in Ensenada, Baja California, filled with lobster feasts, handmade Oaxaca treasures, Hussong’s Cantina, and the reminder that every adventure has its own rhythm.
When Work Shifts, My Body Shifts: What I’ve Learned About Fuel, Endurance, and Adaptation
Freelance life means constant change and my body feels every shift. One week I’m sitting for hours, the next I’m walking miles in a massive workspace. That’s when I notice the side effects: low food drive, lightheadedness, or the crash that comes from running on coffee alone. Over time I’ve learned a simple truth: when the work shifts, my body shifts. And the best way to stay steady is with pocket fuel, small, dense snacks that keep the fire lit without weighing me down.
Exploring the LA River: An Urban Escape
Looking for a peaceful escape in the heart of Los Angeles? The LA River offers an unexpected urban oasis perfect for walking, running, or biking. With scenic views, wildlife, and the challenge of a 100-mile cycling journey, the LA River is a must-visit for nature lovers and adventurers alike. Whether you're enjoying a quiet moment by the water or tackling a bike ride, this hidden gem in LA has something for everyone.
Stay Active, Stay Sharp
As we get older, staying active is only half the journey. Staying sharp, mentally present, engaged, and focused,is just as important. In this post, I share how recovery, reflection, and brain training games have taught me to invest not only in my body, but also in my mind for the long run.
Trunk Goals: My Toyota Sienna Beach Loadout
Beach days, done right. See how I turn my Toyota Sienna into a fully functional beach basecamp from a smart trunk changing setup to sun gear, water shoes, snacks, and a boardwalk-ready outfit.
Rusty But Moving: Signs of the Pick-Up
Summer slowed things down, but now I feel momentum stirring again, on the inside and in the field. This post is about soreness, showing up rusty, and still being sharp. If you’re building something in silence, this one's for you.
Venice Birthday: Fruit, Fun, and the Freedom to Move
Birthday joy, street vendors, Muscle Beach athletes, and sunset reflections all from Venice Beach, where movement meets memory. Sin Límites, always.
Chair Yoga at My Desk: A Midday Reset I Didn't Know I Needed
Sometimes the best thing you can do is pause. I’m not a yoga teacher, but today I took a break at my desk, put on some soft music, and let myself stretch. A few gentle chair poses, a few deep breaths and just like that, I felt calmer, more present, and more in control of my day. Movement doesn’t have to be big to make a difference.
Not Every Legacy Has a Name on a Building
I passed a school named after Ben Franklin and it got me thinking ,not every legacy gets a plaque. Sometimes it’s the ones doing the daily work, the builders no one thanks, who leave the biggest mark.
Pan Pacific Park: Movement, Memory, and the Weight of History
Pan Pacific Park offers more than pull-up bars and jogging paths, it invites you to move through memory. From the Greysol Fitness Zone to the Holocaust Museum’s solemn pillars, every step here is strength with purpose.
Here’s more from the Journal: movement, mindset, and moments that keep us in motion.
Pick what calls you. Leave what doesn’t. The road’s still open.
