Relentless Isn’t Intensity, It’s Consistency

The office opened at 10 a.m. today. It’s a slow week, holidays will do that, and I’m seeing it everywhere. I’ve been meeting people whose stories stick with me: one person told me it took seven years to get a seasonal position. Another has been doing shopping orders and pickups while searching for a job for two years.

It’s not just the economy out here, it’s that all of our game plans are being tested. Mine too.

My own work has shifted, and I’ve had to sit with the question we all avoid:
When the time is free… what do I do? Am I productive with my work? Productive at home; laundry, making the bed, staying on top of my world? Or am I just a daydreamer?

And the truth is: I’m all of it.

But more importantly, I am the architect of my life. Every choice is a beam. Every habit is a foundation. I’m building the life I want to live and maybe something for the future world to stand on, too.

That’s what I do in my day job. I build with intention. And the message for today is simple:

What are you building?

Whatever it is, be relentless about it.

Relentless isn’t intensity it’s consistency. It’s the act of returning. Again and again. Just keep going back to it.

Stay Active, Stay Sharp, Stay Curious
