Are You Following the Thread

Are you following the thread on my TikTok? Because there’s a story in the journey, and more in the quote cards. It’s a thread of having been down, at length, off and on, for different reasons. Wounded. Exhausted. Tested. Taking losses. Making fast pivots in the face of fast changes, some sudden like natural disasters, some slow like the environment shifting under your feet. Add political unrest, personal upheaval, and then the pull to get back outside again.

To claim the moves that were always mine. Even if I had to fall a few times before rising.

And through it all, trying to stay on the grind of being self-employed without forgetting to move. Because whenever you feel stuck, or unhappy with where you are, your first move, your next move, your only move is to start shoveling with your spoon. Start walking. Start observing. Stay sharp. Stay healthy. Listen for when the wind changes in your favor. And when it does, turn with it. Use the momentum to strike.

I hope to have many shots, but if I only get one, I’m going for it. I won’t flinch. I don’t have that choice. And in the meantime? I move differently when I don’t have time for the trail. I move through the city. Because still, I move.
