Dear Passenger
Dear Passenger, You didn’t choose the road. You didn’t check the map. But here you are, riding beside me ,trusting the curves, breathing through the hills, letting the view unfold. and that means, there’s an agreement between us.
Dear Passenger, our agreement is this,
The cup holder at the top, is always mine. It’s the easiest to reach for. You know that; just like I know the passenger’s job isn’t to steer, it’s to see.
You notice the hawk in the sky before I do. You catch the mural I miss on the turn. And if you say “Look,” I always do, not because I doubt what you saw, but because I trust what you catch when I’m busy driving.
That’s the deal. Always see it, say it.
I don’t need you to navigate. I need you to witness. I need you to keep your head on a swivel for beauty, danger, shortcuts, and signs and to tell me what the road looks like from your side.
You are not “just” the passenger. You are the observer, the anchor, the pulse in the quiet. You’re the one who reminds me it’s okay to relax my grip, even while I’m steering.
I know it’s hard sometimes, not knowing where we’re going. Not being in control. But trust me: If we keep moving, the light will meet us. It always does. And if we miss the turn? We’ll catch the view anyway.
Keep looking. Keep noticing. Keep saying it out loud. I’ll keep driving. And I’ll keep listening.
With love from the road,
