All That’s Required Is to Show Up and Move

This morning, I had a plan. 7:00 AM start at Griffith Park. Sunrise, fresh air, full energy. ...But in the morning I stalled, I hit the snooze twice… maybe 3 times.

I’m self-employed, and today was a work-from-home kind of day the kind where the bed feels extra warm and the excuses feel extra easy cause I can get to that To-Do list anytime…most of the time. …Well.. I didn't hit my 7 AM goal. But I did make it by 9 AM.

And you know what? I’m proud and happy as heck of that. Because sometimes, showing up late is still better than not showing up at all.

I had to switch my day around, rearrange my work, adjust my rhythm. But the getting out of bed part, getting out of "stillness," and staleness, and out of my head, that’s what mattered most.

Once I stepped outside and hit the trail, I felt it immediately: Let’s go! Then by the end of the 3.5 miles I hit, that sense of accomplishment, that shift in my whole day's energy.

All I did was walk, and I sprinted one time. All that’s required is to show up and move.
Even if it’s not perfect. Even if it’s not according to plan. Even if it’s not early, polished, or picture-perfect. and most definitely, even if its slow.

Stay Ready

What’s In My FormaFit Go Bag

Part of why I could still move today , even when I wanted to talk myself out of it, is because I stay ready. I always have essentials packed in my car. I know how easy it is to find reasons not to move, and even how to a avoid a bad or unsafe move, if I’m not prepared.

What’s always in my FormaFit Go Bag:

Honestly, I hate the waist holder I had today. It doesn’t sit right on my hips, so I strap it across my back, it’s uncomfortable, and it’s a reminder of how brands often don’t design gear for every body. But it’s in my bag anyway, as a backup (note to self: add that to my wish list), one less reason to skip movement.

Because that’s what staying ready is about:

Removing the reasons not to show up. Making it easier to say yes to yourself.

No Excuses. Just Move.

Today could have been one of those "maybe tomorrow" days. It wasn’t perfect, but it was real and that's what matters.

  • I moved.

  • I breathed fresh air.

  • I felt strong in my own way.

  • I jammed to my music

  • I started my day out great

I’m grateful for a body that lets me move. I’m grateful for a flexible workday that let me shift gears. I’m grateful for the reminder that showing up, even imperfectly, is enough.

If you're waiting for the perfect morning, the perfect mood, or the perfect body, DON’T.
All that’s required is to show up and move.

Stay Active. Stay Sharp. Stay Ready. Muevete Sin Límites.
