Journal Entry | Tunnel to Tunnel

Sometimes a walk is just a walk. And sometimes it becomes a whole journey.

Earlier this week, I went out on one of the quietest days of the year and took a long path through Griffith Park. It wasn’t planned. I just needed to move. Needed to breathe. Needed to hear my footsteps and the winter air instead of my thoughts.

I started inside a tunnel, that concrete echo, that feeling of stepping into something. And when I emerged into the trail, everything shifted.
I saw squirrels.
Deer.
A blue heron standing in the water like it was guarding the day.
Horse shoe prints in the dirt.
The back of the Gene Autry Museum.
And that long, wide stillness that only happens when the city stays home.

By the time I returned to the same tunnel at the end, I realized the walk had become a full circle, an arc. A metaphor. A message I didn’t even know I needed.

So I decided to share it.

The Free Version

The full 49-minute walk is now on YouTube.
No narration, no overlay prompts , just the path, the sound, the light, and whatever you find along the way. If you need quiet company or background movement, it’s there for you.

The Guided Version

But the walk also had a story in it , a mirror, a lesson, a reflection. So I created a guided experience called Tunnel Walk: A 49-Minute Guided Reflection.

This version has gentle prompts that appear throughout the walk, plus a downloadable PDF with deeper journaling questions. It’s a small paid experience, and it’s built for anyone who needs a moment to reset, release, or simply reconnect with themselves through movement.

Both versions exist for a reason. One is the path. The other is the meaning.

Whether you just want to walk with me for a while or you’re ready for a deeper reflection, the tunnel is open. Step in when you’re ready.
