The Slow Burn: A Truth for Builders and Fighters

THE SLOW BURN

The universe gives the builders, the visionaries, the ones with unshakable core light the slowest burn sometimes, because your rise isn’t just for you. You’re not supposed to peak in a place where everyone still wants you small.

We’re no where near done.

I’ve always had to play the long game. I landed in fight position and never really left it.

But the more I understand the fighter I am, the strategy, the endurance, the soul, my strengths and my abilities, I see it so much more clearly:

This isn’t about asking if it’s fair, or easy, or even fun. This is about getting up and walking forward anyway. This is about not staying still.

Because the force that moves me is bigger than the obstacles in front of me. It’s bigger than the silence, the weight of it, the grind or even the fact that I am positively and absolutely the only one who can take my steps forward.

It’s for every one of us in a profession of service. Every teacher, healer, caregiver, protector, guardian… For every unseen fighter in the room. For everyone whose ever had to wake up and fight. For everyone who was underestimated and who took a few punches but didn’t stay down.

The fire is real. The call is real. The work is real. The steps are real. And we’re not done yet. We’re no where near done.
